ROTORUA Get Started: Money on the Menu PM Session
Description
Let’s be real, money can be confusing, and most of us were never actually taught how to manage it properly. But it plays a huge role in our stress levels, choices, and overall wellbeing.
That’s why Healthy Hospo is teaming up with Te Ara Ahunga Ora (Sorted) to bring Rotorua’s hospitality community a practical, no-BS Financial Health Workshop.
This is an interactive session designed to help you feel more in control of your money, whether you're living week to week, saving for something big, or just trying to get your head around it all.
Light refreshments and snacks provided.
This event is held in a licensed (supervised) area. Attendees must be 18+ to attend independently. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Overview of Get Started: This practical, interactive session is designed to help people feel more confident and in control of their money. Participants will explore their own relationship with money, pick up simple tips for managing day-to-day finances, and learn smart ways to use their bank accounts to make budgeting easier. The course breaks down key concepts like compounding interest and the true cost of credit, helping people understand how everyday decisions can add up over time. Attendees will also set realistic financial goals and gain confidence using the Sorted tools and website, so they can keep learning and taking action long after the session ends.
