Description
Skippers and crews interested in the New Caledonia Groupama Race are invited to a short briefing at the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia.
The session covers the race, then opens for questions with CNC Commodore Mathieu Landrieu, who is in Sydney to race in the Tollgate Islands Race with a Caledonian crew, qualifying for the 2026 Rolex Sydney Hobart.
The race
The Groupama Race is a 654-nautical-mile circuit of Grande Terre, starting and finishing in Nouméa. The course runs anti-clockwise through the Grand Passage and the world’s largest lagoon. It is open to monohulls and multihulls, fully crewed or short-handed, and is organised by the Cercle Nautique Calédonien (CNC).
