Join us these Christmas Holidays for an epic masterclass in the world's biggest Primary School age robotics competition,the FIRST Lego League! Over three fun packed sessions, the Royal Robotics team will teach you everything you need to know to set you up for success!
Over three weeks, we will go through concepts like building with strength and integrity, coding a robot to complete challenges and so much more! And the best part? Everything we learn will be used in fun and engaging competitions and challenges along the way!
Learn these skills over the course of three weeks through hands on sessions with world renowned, international award winning students as personal educators! Build and construct your own robots to complete FLL style challenges and then program using world-leading coding techniques with real-world applications!
Disclaimer:
This is a beginner to intermediate skill level course, however, all skill levels are welcome to attend. No prior experience is needed!
Workshop Dates:
This workshop will be held on:
- Thurs 6 January, 9 am-1 pm
- Thurs 13 Jan 2 am-5 pm
- Thurs 20 Jan 9 am-1 pm
What to Expect:
1. Those participating in our workshop will be taught intermediate building and programming skills for the LEGO® Spike robots which will be used to complete fun challenges.
2. We will learn how to problem solve and work with each other to achieve the best outcome for you and your group.
3. Together, we will learn, have fun, make friends, and have a good time!
For this course, we request that each student provides their own device (laptop) with the necessary software downloaded PRIOR to the workshop. If this request is not possible, we can provide a laptop by request. The Ev3 Classroom software can be downloaded here.
All participants are required to bring a packed lunch and water bottle to each session.
