The 17th International Conference on Recent Progress in Graphene and 2D Materials Research (RPGR2026) will be held in Sydney, Australia from November 16 – 20, 2026.

The RPGR conference series stands as the premier annual forum in the Asia-Pacific region for the study of graphene and next-generation two-dimensional materials.

Managed and organised by scientists in the region, RPGR is designed to be a catalyst for progress, facilitating the exchange of significant research developments in graphene and 2D materials.

Conference Scope

Synthesis and Growth of 2D materials
Twistronics
Electrical and Optical Properties
Emergent Phenomena
Characterization
New Applications of 2D materials
Energy, Photocatalysis and Beyond
Theoretical modelling & Computation
Quantum computing, information, and sensing
Focus sessions

The conference has evolved since its inception. Initially focused on the properties and applications of graphene, the scope now encompasses the wider family of atomically thin materials—including layered transition-metal dichalcogenides, hexagonal boron nitride, black phosphorus, and others—recognizing the interconnected nature of 2D materials research.
