'Unless' by Richmond Primary School

Welcome to Richmond Primary School's 2026 whole school production of 'Unless.'

Presented at MGC across two nights in September: Tuesday 1st and Wednesday 2nd.

Doors open at 5:40pm for a 6:00pm start.

Please carefully review the class schedule for each night to ensure you select the performance that features your child/ren.

Students performing on their allocated night do not need a ticket. If they wish to attend on the alternate night as an audience member, they will require a student ticket to support their friends and siblings.

There is a limit of 2 adult and 2 children/student tickets per show, per family (total of 4 per show). This will support all families attending our amazing production!

Please note there is a small booking fee added onto the ticket price at checkout.

Parking is limited onsite. Food and beverages are not permitted inside the theatre. This is a non refundable event.

As Mrs Horton begins reading Dr Seuss’ The Lorax to her Year 1/2 students, as part of their unit on environmental studies, something magical happens, the story bursts to life before the class’s eyes! The students are swept into the colourful world of Truffula trees, Swomee-Swans, and Brown Bar-ba-loots, where they witness the Once-ler’s greedy destruction of nature, first-hand. Guided by the wise Lorax, they discover the true cost of deforestation and the importance of protecting our planet. While reflecting on the dances and songs the class share with the creatures in this special world, the students realise that caring for the environment is everyone’s responsibility, because, as the Lorax reminds us – “Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It’s not.”
