Say hello to RSVP Readers, a Sydney-based book club for lovers of contemporary + literary fiction, good food, and even better conversation.
We wanted to create a consistent, physical space where those saved titles finally get cracked open and we can dive into stories that hold a mirror to our lives.
Between work deadlines and digital noise, it's easy to miss out on those slow, offline moments. We swap screens for paperbacks and the group chat for a seat at the table. For us, the "RSVP" is more than just a headcount - it's a commitment to showing up for yourself, your reading goals, and new friends.
What you can expect:
An intimate meet up with a group of girls, coming together to discuss our September read, chosen by our community: Big Little Truths by Liane Moriarty.
A selection of pastries and focaccia curated by the team from Shadow Baking and your choice of coffee, tea, matcha or juice.
Prompts to inspire connection and help you think deeper about this month’s read.
A goodie bag of handpicked treats!

- Who is this event for?
RSVP is a space created for girls who love to read.
You don’t need to be a die-hard fan of contemporary or literary fiction to join, just a little curious and open to meeting like-minded women over a good book and bite to eat.
However you arrive, you’re welcome to RSVP.
- Can I come alone?
RSVP Readers is designed to bring new people together so you can absolutely come solo! We’ll have prompts to keep the conversation flowing - plus nothing brings people together like good food and a great book!
Everyone is added to an instagram group chat for the event so there's an opportunity to start getting to know people before you even arrive. If you’re feeling a little nervous, feel free to DM us <3
- Do you cater for dietary requirements?
Yes! Include a note with your dietary needs when booking and we'll sort it - we've discussed vegetarian, dairy-free and gluten-free options with the venue already. If you have another dietary requirement that you want more information on, please let us know and we'll do our best to coordinate with the venue to accommodate you!
