If your business needs some rubbish rehab, come along to this 90-minute session.

This session will cover:

  • An introduction to circular economy principles and the basics of combating waste in offices
  • Understanding your office waste, including a quick recap of the CitySwitch visual waste assessment tool
  • How to set targets and develop your plan
  • Learn some practical strategies to tackle common waste streams like organics, coffee cups, e-waste and more.
  • Run through the suppliers who are providing cutting-edge solutions to our waste problems. Featuring a short presentation from Lois Dillon, Social Enterprise Operations Manager, Mates on the Move.
  • Gain insight on best practice engagement. Maddie Greenwood, SHAPE, will speak to their circular economy approach, including sustainable procurement and tips for staff engagement and office initiatives.

This will also be a great opportunity to meet fellow CitySwitch members in Sydney and share your waste related learnings and challenges.

Light breakfast catering will be served and a free tea/coffee voucher for the onsite cafe will be provided. Don't forget your reusable coffee cup.

For more information, contact Emily Keegan, CitySwitch program manager, ekeegan@cityofsydney.nsw.gov.au.

Note: It's best to come along with a good idea of waste production and recycling in your office. Conduct the CitySwitch visual waste assessment once a day for a week to get a snapshot.
