Improve your open mic and performance skills

This workshop is aimed at amateurs who want to perform and those who are keen to polish their skills. We discuss safety on stage, working with sound guys, microphone techniques, mistakes to overcome early, bright lights and how to deal with them.

Music theory for those that don't want music theory lessons

Are you scared of music theory? Do you feel you don’t need it at all? What if I told you that the ukulele is capable of utilising music theory? And it’s pretty easy. If you got through primary school, you can understand its basics. This workshop gives you the basics, starting with the C major scale - devastatingly easy to play on the uke, and getting to simple harmony, including revoicing chords, strumming and even improvisation. You don’t need to be Charlie Parker. But primary school maths and English will take you a fair way.

Hard Rock the Ukulele Way

Ever wanted to get up on stage and rock out loud like Led Zeppelin or Rolling Stones? It is easier than you think, and we have a way to get you playing faster than you ever thought possible.

Kukulele 101

From Harmonix School of Music, music educators Kristin and Adelaide lead a fun 45-minute beginner ukulele session. Learn correct technique, basic chords, and strumming patterns, and walk away playing your first songs with confidence.
