Rufino & The Wreckage
Rufino and The Wreckage are a six- eight-piece band led by Rufino (aka Pip Branson, the crooner from Mikelangelo and the Black Sea Gentlemen), delivering a flamboyant fusion of tropical cabaret and punk-disco energy. Their sound collides voodoo rocksteady, jungle disco, exotica, and 80s post-punk into a theatrical, party-ready experience. Inspired by Serge Gainsbourg and Grace Jones, the band crafts quirky story-driven songs layered with sixties guitars, seventies synths, and souvenir-junk percussion. Described as “good time tropical pop,” Rufino and The Wreckage promise a kaleidoscopic ride of infectious grooves, wild rhythms, and irresistible cabaret flair.
