Seafarers Evening of Rollicking Shanties

Whether a seafarer or landlubber this one is an event for all.

Seaview Park Community Association and the Lancelin Angling and Aquatic club invite you to an evening of brilliant music and performance with the Rum Jungle Sea Shanty group.

When: 7.30 pm Saturday 15th February 2025 (doors open at 7 pm)

Tickets Prices: Adult: $25 / 14 - 17 yrs: $15 / Not suitable for children

Food and Drinks: The Angling Club Bar will be OPEN. Please note no BYO for drinks.

The kitchen will not be open, so BYO nibbles.

Who are Rum Jungle?

This group of shanty folks combine work songs of the high seas with self-penned originals telling stories of the highs and lows of maritime life. Every song has a story, most often involving lots of heaving and hauling whilst complaining about the lousy pay, unsafe

workplace and skanky crewmates. (Times haven’t changed that much).

However, there was always time to anticipate the pleasures of some female company and the barrels of grog that awaited them at the next port. Join us for an evening of rollicking shanties. You can sit back and enjoy the songs or join in, the more the merrier!

Based in Geraldton Rum Jungle regularly perform at events throughout southern WA and are highly skilled, professional and entirely entertaining with loads of witty dialogue and entertaining information to share between shanties. Between Rum Jungle sets there will be local supporting acts.
