Attendees will have the opportunity to taste some of the world's most admired rums from around the world. Each session will be a look into how rum was formed around the world by sailors, pirates and war. Each session will including a cocktail on arrival and 6 rum samples during the flight. We will look at the historical styles of rum and provide insight into what defines premium in such a diverse spirit. Often misunderstood, rum is a unique spirit that started in the Caribbean seas, we hope you will find an appreciation for these high quality rums as we go on this journey.
Hosted inside the iconic venue, The Keel, this was the original home for weary sailors after the long voyage to Sydney. The Rocks itself was the home of the NSW Rum Corps and the friction point that caused the Sydney Rum Rebellion. Always a venue to support sailors and those in need, The Keel continues this charity by donating 50% of all profits to charity. This time to support the reforestation of the Daintree rainforest and returning custodianship of the land to the Kuku Yalanji people.
