This year, Run La Trobe is making it easier than ever for families to take part, with a La Trobe Sport Active Kids Camp running during the event.
Perfect for children aged 5–12, the camp is packed with fun, active games, sports, and new experiences in a safe, supervised, and inclusive environment at the La Trobe Sports Park Stadium. While you’re chasing your finish line, your kids will be having an adventure of their own!
Our experienced and trained program leaders will facilitate a range of exciting games, sports, activities, and skill-based drills designed to keep children engaged, active, and having fun throughout the session.
🏃♂️ Take part in Run La Trobe knowing your children are being well looked after while enjoying their own sports and recreation experience alongside the event.
Attendance Requirements
A parent or guardian must hold a valid Run La Trobe event ticket to enrol a child into the Run La Trobe – Active Kids Camp.
La Trobe Sport Active Kids Camps are designed for children aged 5–12 years and involve high-energy sports, games, and physical activities. These action-packed sessions require good stamina and energy, so please ensure your child enjoys being active, can participate throughout the session, and stay engaged with the program.
Children must be able to independently use the toilet during camp hours.
Schedule:
- 8:00 am - 8:20 am
Child Drop-Off & Sign-In
Parents/guardians will sign their child in on arrival, complete a drop-off with staff, and children will take part in light games/activities while the group gets settled and the session begins.
- 8:20 am - 8:30 am
Welcome & Warmup
Children will be welcomed by staff and take part in a fun, light warm-up activity to get them moving and ready for the session.
- 8:30 am - 10:00 am
Camp Activities
Children will enjoy a mix of high-energy camp activities including basketball, soccer, dodgeball, relay races, and fun team games, all designed to keep them active, engaged, and working together throughout the session.
- 10:00 am - 10:30 am
Child Pickup & Sign-Out
Parents/guardians will sign their child out on collection and complete a handover with staff to ensure a safe and smooth departure from the session.

Take part in the 1km Kid’s Run (Registration Required)
Children can take part in the exciting 1km Kid’s Run (registration required), a fun and inclusive event designed to get them active, build confidence, and enjoy being part of the Run La Trobe experience.

General Admission: $5.00
Medical Conditions:
To ensure the safety and well-being of all participants, we require documentation for children with allergies, anaphylaxis, behavioral support needs, or those who require medication during the program (e.g., Ritalin, Ventolin). Please refer to our website for detailed instructions on how to submit this information.
Refunds, Credits & Cancellations:
To protect our staff and other participants, please do not bring your child to the program if they are unwell or showing cold/flu symptoms.
Refunds or credits will not be issued for change of mind requests.
If your child is unable to attend due to illness, a credit will be issued for a future program of equal or lesser value upon receipt of a medical certificate.
If La Trobe Sport cancels the event due to extenuating circumstances, a full refund will be provided (excluding the Humanitix booking fee).
