Event description

Osiyo,

A whole-day experience sharing the traditions & ceremonies of the ancient medicine that has been practised for thousands of years. Bobby Runningfox & Eagledancer's (son), teachings come from their lineage, Cherokee. Included within this day different from the foundation lodge's will be a shorter day including; verbal Sweat Lodge, Powwow Chanting & Drumming, Fire Ceremony & Tipi Teachings... The experience is said to be both physically, emotionally, mentally & spiritually rejuvenating, leaving participants feeling renewed and refreshed. Shifting into your new state of yourself.

SWEAT LODGE:

A Native American Sweat lodge is a ceremonial purifying ritual that focuses on releasing emotions and thoughts that no longer serve you. Its purpose is to rejuvenate the physical and emotional mental state.

Our Sweat lodges are based within the Cherokee philosophy from our bloodline, which is based on the feminine leadership. As a society we wanted to connect deeper with Mother Earth and we understood that females had the advantage, so we gave the baton towards the feminine ideology to create more responsive harmony and critical thinking to lead actions compared to our neighbouring tribes. War and possession wasn’t our priority, becoming one with MotherEarth was.

Our ceremonies prior to the Sweat Lodge, create a preparation for a ripple effect to ensure that the space, safety, warmth and time come together. It fosters a vulnerable experience. Vulnerability is met when an individual feels secure within themselves and with those around them. Through our processes in the ceremonies this creates a sense of trust to be vulnerable in order to let go efficiently and safely.

6 ROUNDS

Please only purchase a ticket if you have previously participated in OUR sweat lodge. A confirmation call or text will be sent a few days prior to the event.

This sweat lodge will include six rounds, building upon the foundation sweat lodge, which had four rounds. Expect it to be hotter and more intense. During this experience, we will focus on exploring and processing the key emotions of anger, failure and sadness.

FACILITATORS

Bobby Runningfox has been facilitating numerous sweat lodges for over 40years, with him being a Native American Medicine Man; helping people become more true to their lighter selves physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. As a Medicine Man, he will guide you through all the stages to get ready for the sweat, so you can have more of an efficient and joyful experience through release. Each stage will strengthen your being internally and externally. The more you 'surrender' within the lodge, more you will release.

Bobby Runningfox

Bobby’s mission is to empower you to heal yourself by reminding you of your innate magnificence. Coming from a long line of Native American healers, Bobby was deeply influenced by his grandmother, the Medicine Woman of her village, and his uncle, a powerful medicine man who taught him the art of healing.

Blending native traditions with his own unique gifts, Bobby's work is infused with the essence of his culture. He believes that everyone is a healer and aims to help you awaken to your own healing potential.

A gifted healer of Cherokee descent, Bobby’s ability to heal is an inherent part of who he is. Healing runs through his veins, passed down from his uncle Sixto and his maternal grandmother, both of whom shared their wisdom with him as a young man. At the age of 7, Bobby’s grandmother bestowed upon him the name "Runningfox," after a vision of herself as a lost child in a dark forest, guided to safety by a swift fox. In this vision, the fox urged her to follow, and as it ran ahead, she called out, “Slow down, Runningfox.” She saw that Bobby would lead many to safety in his life.

Bobby’s third eye is fully open, allowing him to “see” into a person’s body. “The body speaks to me,” he says. “As a child, I first worked with animals, and at age 20, after a near-death experience in the Navy, I began working with people. I can see where trauma first occurred and who/what was responsible. Everybody holds a history within its cells. It’s fascinating. The beauty is that our bodies are self-healing machines when we allow ourselves to surrender and receive.”

Bobby teaches you to become your own source of healing, your own guru. He emphasizes that if you were able to get yourself sick or injured, you also have the ability to heal yourself. Belief, intention, and the will to act and change are the key ingredients. And that’s just a taste of what he offers.

EagleDancer (Bobby's Son)

Since the age of eight, he has been training as a Native American Medicine Man, learning alongside his father and many other teachers from around the world. His responsibility, both to the role and to himself, is to gain as much knowledge and compassion as possible for the diverse perspectives, cultures, tribes, and traditions that shape each person's truth and their understanding of medicine.

His approach is rooted in a deep commitment to being a lifelong student, continuously expanding upon the knowledge and experiences he has gathered. As he often says, "I seek to be a true teacher when the time is right." Over the years, he has encountered many healers, shamans, and gurus who speak of wisdom but do not always embody it with full authenticity. His intention, always, is to "walk the talk" — to live with integrity and be as authentic as possible. His goal is for every fiber of his being to contribute to creating greater harmony among humanity, all living beings, and Mother Earth.

"Being a Native American Medicine Man or Woman is not simply a role passed down out of desire or convenience. It is a responsibility that must be earned, often driven by a deep sense of purpose rather than want or need. I am grateful to carry on this responsibility through my father's lineage, and I strive to be the best version of myself in this role. My goal is to understand the diverse perspectives, knowledge, and healing practices from cultures around the world. This broader understanding will enable me to better serve and connect with those who are interested in what I have to offer or what I represent."

For now, he is content being the student, soaking up all the knowledge and experiences like a sponge. His focus is on learning, so that when the time comes, he will be ready — with full fluency and transparency — to step into the role of teacher that his soul was born to fulfill.
