Event description

You're Invited: Rural Women’s Day Lunch – A Celebration of Community, Collaboration & Connection.

Gather your country women folk and join us for a heartwarming day of Community – Celebration – Collaboration at our Rural Women’s Day Lunch on Saturday 13th September, held at the beautiful Kalbar School of Arts from 10:30am.

Enjoy a beautiful two-course lunch, a refreshing mocktail on arrival, and have your photo taken with our styled country backdrops before creating your own fresh flower posy — to decorate your table and take home. Each guest will also receive an amazing goodie bag filled with local products.

This year, we’re inviting you to "bring a plate" — not one full of food, but one with a story. Maybe it’s your grandma’s best china brought over from England, or perhaps a last-minute Kmart or op-shop find. Either way, it’s a lovely way to spark conversation and connection around your table as you share a little piece of your own story.

We’re thrilled to welcome special guest speaker Hannah McNulty from Goondiwindi, whose inspiring story will resonate with women from all walks of rural life. Enjoy the sounds of local country singer Amy Ryan, and be guided through the day by our fabulous MC, Vivian McCollum, originally from Roma.

Plus:

  • Fabulous raffles with great prizes

  • A bar run by the Kalbar School of Arts

  • And most importantly, all profits will go towards our Cuddle Bed initiative, providing comfort for palliative care patients and their families in hospitals across South East Queensland.

Tickets are $80pp and go on sale Sunday 13th July – and they will sell fast!

Proudly supported by our generous sponsors: Elders Kalbar and Summer Land Camel Farm.

Don’t miss this special celebration of rural women – book your seat, bring your friends, and be part of something meaningful.
