RuralChange Fundraiser Ball
Event description
The RuralChange Fundraiser Ball is hosted by the Will To Live Charitable Trust.
Will To Live is a New Zealand Rural Health charity founded in 2018. Will To Live have been promoting mental health awareness, providing one on one support, education events and wellbeing tools to small rural communities, often isolated from mental health resources.
In September 2021 Will To Live will be launching its largest project yet “RuralChange” which is fund for private psychologists for New Zealand Farmers.
This was motivated by the devastatingly long 8 week waiting lists to see a psychologist or counsellor currently in the public health system. We feel this is not good enough, this length of time has not decreased in the past 3 years.
Will To Live are going to provide 3x private counselling sessions per farmer with the aim of only a 2-3 day waiting time. This fund will be accessible to anyone employed, managing or owning a farming operation in NZ. The cost per hour session can usually range from $150-$250.
The RuralChange Fundraising Ball is going to be held on the 16th October 2021 at the Airforce Museum, Wigram, Christchurch.
Join us for a fun evening to fundraise and celebrate the launch of RuralChange.
The evening includes a gala dinner, motivational speakers, live music and a charity auction with all proceeds going to the RuralChange fund.
