2022 MARIST COLLEGE ASHGROVE RUSH LENTEN 7/8 FUNDRAISING DANCE

On Tuesday, 9 August, Marist College Ashgrove will be hosting a Year 7-8 Dance in the Champagnat Centre as a fundraiser for the College’s Lenten Appeal. The Dance is open to those students only from Years 7 and 8.

Tickets
No tickets will be sold at the door – anyone without a ticket online though Humanitix will be refused entry. Parents will be required to give contact details upon purchase of a ticket. The $15.00 ticket price includes entry to the dance, a bottle of water and killer-python lolly (cans of soft drink and chips will be sold on the night). Students will need to show their ticket, either printed or on their phone, which will be scanned on the door prior to entry. Students must also present their current Student ID with photo to gain entry.

Timings and collection of students
The dance will be fully supervised by parents and staff from the College, and will run from 6:30pm-9:30pm. No student will be admitted after 7:30pm, nor will anyone be able to leave the dance until its conclusion. When purchasing tickets, parents will be required to indicate who is responsible for transporting their child home. At the conclusion of the dance, parents (or nominated others) will be required to be present outside the gymnasium to collect their children.

Behaviour and dress
Entry will be refused to any student who does not comply with dress standards, their parents will be contacted to organise collection. 

Please be aware that the dance is open only to invited girls’ schools and boys from Marist College Ashgrove. No other boys or girls are permitted entry. Normal school rules regarding smoking, alcohol and behaviour will apply. 

Terms and Conditions of Entry

  • Ø No admittance without payment and current school photo ID
  • Ø School Rules apply – no smoking, alcohol or drugs (Students may be breathalysed)
  • Ø Acceptable modest, neat dress required – entry will be refused for inappropriate dress.  No clothing is to be removed/modified after entry to the dance.
  • Ø All students are advised that their current school rules regarding dress regulations and expectations will also be enforced.
  • Ø Sensible footwear – no high heels or stilettos are permitted in the gym
  • Ø Chewing gum is NOT allowed
  • Ø Do not bring bags to the dance
  • Ø No early departures except if parents arrange to collect students at the door with the knowledge of a supervising staff member.
  • Ø Failure to comply with dress code or code of behaviour may, at the sole discretion of the school, result in a parent being contacted and the student being refused entry to the dance or exclusion from it.
