RVG
Event description
Melbourne band RVG perform the tricky alchemy of combining rock’s urgency, punk’s anarchy and pop’s empathy for a unique sound that feels vital. Since releasing their first album to critical acclaim and audience adoration, they have made huge strides at home and internationally, playing an iconic set at Meredith Music Festival and touring OS and Australia as supports for the likes of Kurt Vile, Pixies and POND. They’ve just released their much anticipated third album Brain Worms and it’s taken the airwaves by storm. They wowed the crowd at Splendour in the Grass and they’re jetting off overseas to tour the album before a huge Aussie run that includes a stopover in Anglesea for The Sound Doctor. Come and hear RVG do what they do best: “unfurling the oddities of modern life through lyrics spiked with pathos and black humour” (The Guardian) with their blend of lush jangling guitar pop with elements of wiry post-punk, goth and '80s college rock.
