You’re invited to (S)Hits & Giggles, an evening of heartfelt stories, shared through laughter, music and dance.

The night will include three incredible acts:

• Refugee comedy with Bahaa
• Belly dancing demo with Rowa
• Music with DJ Matab

To us, this is so much more than an event. It is an invitation to come together and share in the joy, creativity and resilience of refugee and migrant communities. So come with friends, leave with memories - we can’t wait to meet you.

MEET THE PERFORMERS:

Meet Bahaa and his refugee comedy. All the way from Syria, Bahaa’s set is a witty blend of memories from his own refugee journey that’ll make you laugh and rethink your assumptions. Advocating as a writer, cook, engineer and RAW Comedy Semi Finalist 2025, Bahaa does a lot, outside of talking to his refugee cat Sasha.

Meet Rowa and her belly dancing demonstration. Teaching from the heart, Rowa will turn even the most awkward hips into storytellers - feel free to watch, or have a go too, the choice is completely yours. Her workshops honour the ancient techniques of her Egyptian ancestors, and are spaces where everyone can feel welcome and comfortable.

And finally, meet DJ Matab, a Palestinian producer, DJ and radio host. Matab hosts the radio shows on PBS FM (Dounya show) and Radio AlHara and is the creator of Dounya El Disco parties. His music blends global beats with forgotten hits. Catch him closing out the night with selections that hit the heart - and the hips.
