This program provides a structured, evidence-based approach to supporting families and carers of individuals with spinal cord injury (SCI) and traumatic brain injury (TBI) to build resilience and navigate the challenges of long-term care.
What is Strength2Strength (S2S)?
S2S is a psychoeducational program that empowers families and carers by:

Facilitators
- Dr Grahame Simpson, an expert in brain injury rehabilitation and the lead researcher behind the Strength2Strength program. As the Group Leader of the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Group at the Ingham Institute, Dr Simpson has led significant research in this field and played a key role in expanding the S2S program across Australia.
- Candice Care-Unger, an award-winning clinician-researcher, specialist social worker and clinical sexologist. She served as the project officer for the S2S sustainability project and has been delivering train-the-trainer workshops since 2009.
