SA CVRN Emerging Leaders Symposium
Description
The Emerging Leaders Symposium aims to provide a platform for early- and mid-career cardiovascular researchers to share their work, develop essential career skills through professional development and build lasting professional networks.
This year’s program features two headline plenary guest speakers Dr Niamh Chapman, a leader in hypertension and cardiovascular research and Associate Professor Simon Foster, a leader in cardiac drug discovery. Both bring a wealth of experience in navigating todays research landscape and will share their insights and experiences to guide and motivate the next generation of research leaders.
Attendees will benefit from interactive professional development sessions focussing on career development and how to build successful research fellowship applications. A mentoring session will also be incorporated over lunch to give attendees an opportunity to gain insights from peers and senior professionals in attendance. This event offers valuable tools to refine your career goals or expand your professional network to help you thrive in your research career.
