SA Giving Week Philanthropy Showcase
Description
Join us for the Philanthropy Showcase, the signature event of SA Giving Week 2026 — a curated morning bringing together some of South Australia’s most generous minds, leaders and changemakers.
Who should attend
Funders, advisers, business and community leaders, and anyone interested in growing their impact through giving.
About the event
Hosted by award winning journalist and presenter Jess Adamson, this dynamic session is designed to inform, inspire and connect, exploring the many ways generosity can create meaningful impact across our community.
The morning will feature a keynote from John McLeod, Senior Research Consultant in Family Advisory & Philanthropic Services at JBWere — one of Australia’s leading voices on philanthropy and giving trends.
John co-founded JBWere Philanthropic Services in 2001 and has spent decades analysing the evolving landscape of giving. He produces some of the country’s most respected research on the for-purpose and philanthropy sectors, compiles the Australian Financial Review’s Philanthropy 50, and tracks Australia’s top companies for corporate community investment. He also serves as a Board Director for Liverty Housing, recently completed nine years on the Philanthropy Australia board and has been involved with his own family's PAF since 2004.
In this not-to-be-missed session, John will share insights into:
National and global trends in philanthropy
The future of giving in Australia
Intergenerational wealth transfer and its impact
The growing role of structured and strategic giving.
Following this, a fast-paced Philanthropy Highlights session will bring together leading voices across key areas of giving, before guests move into interactive workshops to explore one topic in greater depth.
