SAARG sedge education and harvest days

Strathalbyn Aboriginal Action and Reference Group are hosting 2 Cyperus gymnocaulos education and harvest days on the River Murray with Aunty Freda Jaadawa Mills and SAARG weaving group. 

Join us for a day on Country together as we care for the tradional weaving materials by harvesting the sedges to encourage new growth and assist in weed reduction. 

Morning and afternoon native tea available, bring a shared lunch, water, chair and walking shoes 

SAARG weaving group will demonstrate weaving with Cyperus gymnocaulos and you will get to take a bundle of sedges to dry, so they will be ready to weave with.
