Program Overview: Home Education Saber Academy
Location: Twelve25 Youth Centre, 17 Wiltshire Street, Salisbury

Age Group: 7 - 12 years
Time: 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Are you a home-educated student between the ages of 7 and 12 with a passion for martial arts, creativity, and filmmaking? Welcome to the Home Education Saber Academy, where learning meets adventure in an immersive and dynamic program designed just for you!
About Us: As a professional martial arts dojo run by experienced home educators, we understand the importance of providing engaging and enriching educational experiences outside of traditional classroom settings. Our Saber Academy program combines martial arts training with character development, cosplay design, choreographed stunt work, and film production to offer a comprehensive learning experience like no other.
Program Highlights:
Term 2 (May - July):
- Aikido and Saber Techniques: Students will learn a variety of Aikido and saber techniques, blending traditional martial arts principles with the excitement of lightsaber combat.
- Character Development and Cosplay Design: Through Online assignments using our discord channel, students will be encouraged to create character sheets for our extended universe kyushinludo.com and design their own cosplay costumes using digital media, fostering creativity and imagination.
Term 3 (July - September):
- Choreographed Stunts and Script Development: Building on their martial arts skills, students will prepare for choreographed stunts and develop a script for a dynamic action sequence, learning teamwork and communication along the way.
Term 4 (October - December):
- Film Production and VFX Editing: In the final term, students will bring their creative vision to life as they work towards making a short film or fight sequence using green screens and editing tools for visual effects (VFX), gaining valuable skills in digital storytelling and multimedia production.
