Sacred Circle

Event description

Cradled by the Grandmother Turpentine trees, the Sacred Circle has been nurtured since the bushfire in 2020. For two years sacred ceremonies have been offered here. I open the Sacred Circle to Yila Healing Trail and all who are called. The purpose of the Sacred Circle is to nurture the relationship between people and Mother Earth, returning it to one of respect, care, honour and love; for personal reflection and healing and transpersonal healing that is for all people and the planet.

The ceremony is informed by teachings from my spiritual teacher Shakti Durga and my indigenous women's teacher and lore holder Wiradjuri elder Min Mia and expressed through my own flavour and love for nature.

The ceremony commences by singing up Nungeena Tya, Mother Earth. We tune into the sounds, smells, feel and energy of the forest. Letting go is enhanced with the Ganesha mantra. Personal reflection or meditation emerges into visualising  and energising what we want for ourself and for country. With the water ceremony we bless Mother Earth. Together we create a mandala for spring and our intentions.

Please bring :
A gift for the circle - a stone or something from nature.
Layers of clothes for changeable weather, water bottle
A plate to share after the ceremony. Food for children accepted in the circle.
