Event description

SACRED FLOW is a journey with the medicines of music, movement, cacao, and sound healing, with the aim of lifting your spirits and putting you in touch with a higher state of consciousness. Through this event, you will be taken back to an ancient wisdom and knowing, where our ancestors gathered and danced in ceremony to experience healing and insights for their highest good.

The event will open with a cacao ceremony, following traditional Andean cosmology, where you will deeply connect with this heart-opening, non-hallucinogenic plant medicine, setting an intention, and creating a sacred and safe container for the journey to commence. A cacao ceremony is a ritual in which the ancient plant medicine of cacao is used with intentions of healing, celebration, mourning, connection, offerings, guidance, changing perceptions or states of consciousness, and spiritual practice. It is a vibrational plant medicine, raising the frequency at which we resonate. Opening the gateway to the sacred heart space, where truth and unconditional compassion illuminate our way, cacao assists us in releasing fear, insecurity and guilt, facilitating a deeply grounding connection to ourselves, to others, and to all that is.

You will then be guided through a gentle pranayama exercise (gentle breath regulation), suitable for beginners, to regulate your nervous system and drop you into your body. As the cacao moves through you, Angie (aka DJ AnJel) will guide you to embody the music through a live-mixed sound journey, slowly being taken to experience catharsis and leave it all on the dance floor. In honour of the Medicine Wheel, you will dance through the Four Elements: EARTH, WATER, FIRE, and AIR. Moving through each elemental portal brings to the surface different aspects of you that you either need to meet or release through movement.

You will gently come back into stillness and experience an integration of the dance through a powerful sound healing by guest facilitator, Marco Debie (Mago Menla). Marco is a virtuoso didgeridoo player and multi-instrumentalist, born in The Netherlands, committed to inner work and meaningful work in his community. Marco offers a heart-centred sound healing, which is a result of 25 years of learning, with Indigenous Australian, Tibetan Yogic and other teachers, to support people to find more balance, clarity and direction.

After ceremony is closed, you will have the chance to stay and share your experience or any insights in circle, or to journal if you wish. Circle will close at 8.30pm, but you are welcome to leave once the sound healing finishes at 8pm.

We hope you will join us for this unique, profound, and heart-opening journey!

Cacao is generally a fairly mild medicine, but there are a few cases where it may not be suitable for you:

If you would like to join but don't wish to drink cacao, please know that you are so welcome! I will prepare delicious chai tea for you to enjoy during the ceremony, and you can still energetically call in the energy of the cacao medicine during ceremony. Please choose this option at checkout.
