Description

Sacred Pause

A Mid-week Restorative Sound Journey with Athena
Wednesday 7 October · 6:00–7:00pm

Sometimes we simply need a place to pause.

Join Athena for a gentle restorative sound journey designed to help you slow down, soften, and reconnect with yourself in the middle of a busy week.

You’ll be guided into stillness through the soothing vibrations of crystal sound bowls, creating space to release tension, settle the nervous system, and simply be with no experience or expectations required.

This is a community offering, created for anyone who could use a moment of rest and connection, especially those who may not currently have the capacity to pay for one.

The session is free to attend.

If you have the capacity and feel called to contribute, Koha is warmly appreciated but never expected. Your contribution can be monetary or simply something you’d like to offer to the community. A Koha basket will be available outside the room.

After the sound journey, stay for a cuppa tea and a community connection, a chance to come back into the room slowly, meet others, and share a moment together.

Come as you are. Bring yourself, something comfortable to lie on, and permission to do absolutely nothing for an hour. 🤎

No experience with sound baths, meditation, or Reiki is needed.

Please check FAQ for any questions or send an email or direct message to Athena.

Looking forward to holding space for you and connecting.

FAQs

  • Do I need to have done a sound bath before?

Not at all. This is completely beginner-friendly. You don’t need to know how to meditate, relax, or “do” anything. Just come as you are.

  • What should i bring?

Bring whatever helps you feel comfortable lying down for the session: a yoga mat, blanket, pillow, eye mask or anything else you’d like. Wear comfortable, warm clothing.

  • Is the event really free?

Yes. This is a community offering and there is no cost to attend. It’s intentionally created for people who may need a moment of rest but don’t currently have the capacity to pay for one.

  • What does Koha mean?

Koha is an offering given freely. If you have the capacity and feel called to contribute, you’re welcome to leave a monetary donation or another offering in the Koha basket. There is absolutely no expectation to contribute. Your presence is enough.

  • What happens after the sound journey?

We’ll gently come back into the space and share a cuppa tea and some informal connection. You’re welcome to stay and chat, or simply head home if you need some quiet time.

  • Can I come if i’m not comfortable sharing or talking?

Absolutely. Connection doesn’t have to mean conversation. You’re welcome to simply be present and leave whenever you feel ready.

  • Is this a Reiki session?

No. Athena is a Reiki Level 2 practitioner, but this particular offering is a restorative sound journey. Reiki may inform the space she holds, but there is no hands-on Reiki treatment during the session.

  • What if i’m pregnant / have a health condition?

If you have any concerns about participating in a sound bath due to pregnancy, a medical condition, or sensitivity to sound, please check with your healthcare provider beforehand and let Athena know on arrival.

  • Is there parking on site?

Yes, plenty of parking on site! It will be lot close to the road where you can see the address of the venue 442 Durham St. North.
