Terry Oldfield and Soraya share original songs that speak to the heart of the listener. Their full moon Sunday afternoon gatherings combine the group singing of ancient mantras together with Celtic and original songs punctuated by Terry's famous soaring flutes. Terry’s flute and musical genius together with Soraya’s sweet voice and the ambience of Mangalam Retreat will lead you on a journey into deep joyful inner silence.
We begin with afternoon chai on the deck and time to connect with other like-minded guests. Terry and Soraya hold their events at Mangalam Music & Meditation Retreat outside Palmwoods on the edge of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. It follows permaculture and organic gardening principles.
Terry has had a long and successful musical career as both a composer and an artist. Working on film music with the BBC and composing over 36 albums of his own. His signature instrument, the flute, features in his compositions. With no formal musical training he has developed his own unique style of playing that has captured the heart of audiences globally. Soraya Saraswati is an Australian meditation teacher, singer and trauma informed yoga therapist offering a variety of work including TRE trauma & tension release. Terry & Soraya have been travelling and sharing their music, workshops and retreats globally for the past 17 years.
