Johanna is a dynamic performer known for her rich, soulful voice, radiant spirit, and inspiring songs and chants that tap deeply into our collective soul. Her music will take you on a journey through your heart with her unique ethereal harmonies and an ancient mantra blend ready to move your Spirit, from ecstatic jams to soothing meditations. Her velvety voice, creative interpretations of music from various world traditions, gorgeous original songs, and open-hearted presence come together to create an unforgettable musical experience. She performs and teaches at premiere yoga and conscious music festivals, venues, studios and churches across the country including Bhakti Fest, Sedona Yoga Festival, Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health, Unitarian, Center for Spiritual Living, Beloved Sacred Art & Music Festival and Bhakti Yoga Shala in Santa Monica.
Johanna’s songwriting knows no stylistic boundaries. Her catalog includes heart-opening folk-pop songs, gospel hymns, a cappella anthems, classic soul songs, and jazz-infused love ballads. She has released 6 albums. Her first album of original kirtan music Heart Beats One, was a critically-acclaimed collection of Johanna’s soulful and strikingly original interpretations of sacred chants that immediately caught the attention of audiences. Working with award-winning producer Ben Leinbach and a handful of gifted sacred music players, she created Beyond Love, soothing songs for the soul in the spirit of Lullaby Yoga. Mantra Soul, her followup to Beyond Love, bridges the worlds of Eastern kirtan and Western gospel with an irresistible collection of upbeat songs and chants. Her songs have been nominated in conscious music awards and included in White Swan Records’ Best Yoga Music of the Year playlist.

Her more recent work includes Heart Beats One: Feel the Heartbeat, an all-English version of her popular song; an electronic remix by Equanimous of her transcendental Om Shanti chant; collaborative singles with Joss Jaffe and Mikey Palker; and Yoga Soundtrack, Volume 2, a meditative collaboration with long-time producer Ben Leinbach featuring Benjy Wertheimer, Girish, Hans Christian, and other classic mantra voices.
As a certified yoga teacher and vocal teacher, Johanna incorporates her music into her uniquely
restorative Lullaby YogaTM classes and her Free Your Soul’s Voice Playshops. She is the creator of One Heart TV, and produces and
co-produces events to celebrate our shared humanity including Bhakti Love @ Native Springs Oasis
and Shakti United! a “spiritual Lilith Fair” which empowers the female voice and supports girls' education
programs. Her highly praised Mantra Sangha video brought together leading kirtan artist Krishna Das and
renown artists from all around the globe to support the education of Nepali children.

ABOUT JOSS JAFFE
Joss Jaffe is a vocalist, tabla player, multi-instrumentalist, composer and record producer from Santa Barbara, California. His critically acclaimed albums include Dub Mantra, Sun Mountain Sea, & Billboard Top-10 new age album Meditation Music, released in 2019. Joss’ music ranges from modern pop, reggae, and world to ambient, soothing and brainwave entraining music for spa, relaxation, yoga and meditation. He has been trained in both western musical genres (classical, jazz, popular, folk, reggae) and Indian Classical Music as a vocalist, tabla player and sarode player with Ali Akbar Khan, Swapan Chaudhuri and Zakir Hussain. With his unique background in Indian music, mantras, kirtan and sound healing, his music is an expression of unique rhythms, melodies and harmonies for mind, body and spirit.Joss has collaborated with numerous artists including Grammy Award nominees Jai Uttal, Silvia Nakkach and Dave Stringer as well as Grammy Award winning Reggae artist Mykal Rose of Black Uhuru.
