Whaia and Joshua are coming together for this very special evening for a rare collaboration.  A sound healing journey inspired by the connection we both have to Tamborine Mountain. Sacred sounds of the mountain is a sound journey that includes field recordings of the rivers, creeks, waterfalls and abundant birdlife of the mountain.

Born of Ngati Kahungunu tribal descent in Aotearoa, WHAIA is a transcendent vocalist, alchemical performer, First Nations multi-instrumentalist, designer, Creative Cultural Producer and visionary facilitator. 

Sitting on the board of Oceanic Global WHAIA is an advocate in the intuitive ways of water, she is also a cherished member of the Wisdom Keeper Delegation a group of elders from 5 continents presenting at the United Nations & the United Climate Summit @COP28 in Dubai.  WHAIA is a collaborative member with the Earthrise Collective born out of Africa advocating ‘Ancient Wisdom, Activism & Alternatives’ making this wahine one powerhouse mama. 

Walking with Taonga Puoro/Traditional First Nations Instruments, Crystal Singing Bowls she is a ‘Sonic Weaver’ with her own unique cradle of embedded healing phonics and a passion to bring the voices of nature into the room.

Home based in Australia WHAIA is mother to ‘The Mana Waka’, a 40ft bus/travelling production studio offering artistic and educational projects to the heart communities. 

A whaledreaming woman she is singing the ancient songlines of her ancestry all over the world, blending intuitive melodies made of wood, bone, clay and stone. Her open basket ‘Sonic Weaver Sound Sanctuary’, is a coaching platform for other budding seekers aimed to uplift the human spirit through the inspirational and the ordinary.

Come be bathed in the immersive experience and alchemy of her unique collaboration with Joshua Tree. A sonic download that will surely uplift the spirit.

Whaia integrates her collection of Traditional First Nations instruments, Singing Crystal Bowls and divine vocals, bringing forth her unique delivery of Sacred Sonic Ceremonies. Whaia nurtures you through her meditative sound journeys, creating an atmosphere that is sure to put a lasting resonance in your cells.

Singing in her mother tongue the language of  TE RA / The Sun, celebrating her culture and connection to source Whaia is a carrier of the higher dimensional frequencies, a warrior woman with a soft yet powerful delivery, entwining ones heart, body and spirit.

Her cradle of embedded healing phonics and ancient primordial voice will no doubt rumble your inner jungle, soothe your bones and shake loose that which can serve your awakening process.

Starting out as a  singer song writer in 2005, Whaia has gone through many transformational phases in the last decade. Cutting her teeth at the infamous live venue of the Sol Bar on the Sunshine Coast  Queeensland, to gracing the Amphitheater stage of Woodford Folk Festival to 14,000  beautiful souls.

In 2011 she carved out a 4 year Australian tour with the band ‘WHALEDREAMERS’ featuring Aboriginal elder, Senior Lore Man, Bunna Lawrie of the Mirning tribe, South Australia. Singing the ancient songlines of the Whale throughout festivals and gatherings across the country.

An advocate for culture, environmental rights, protection of water this Maori goddess resonates an earthly yet ethereal sense about her, uplifting and serving the world through her voice and passion of medicinal sonics.

Joshua is a modern mystic inspired by the shamanic, the alchemic, the tao and first nations Australia.  A visual artist by degree, the love of music has created a life long dance between the visual and the sonic. Key interests are non ordinary states of consciousness, heart intelligence and human potential.

He has performed on festival stages all over Australia, Japan and the UK in collaboration and as a solo looping artist playing over 20 instruments of breath and rhythm.
