Event description

In this workshop we will learn about a very misunderstood and very powerful plant, sacred tobacco. It's considered to be one of the oldest sacred plants and also one of the most widely used across different cultures. You will learn about its medicinal properties and how to work with it conscientiously.

We will also have the opportunity to experiment respectfully with another substance called hape (non-hallucinogenic, it simply clears out stagnant, dense and anxious energy quickly and is very helpful for meditation, which we will do together after). Indigenous communities use this very safe and legal substance regularly. Your host, Catherine Brown, has lived in and studied with various Amazonian indigenous communities over the past 16 years and has a formation in shamanic healing from The Foundation for Shamanic Studies.
