In this workshop we will learn about a very misunderstood and very powerful plant, sacred tobacco. It's considered to be one of the oldest sacred plants and also one of the most widely used across different cultures. You will learn about its medicinal properties and how to work with it conscientiously to clear and ground yourself, others, and spaces you spend time in.

We will also have the opportunity to experiment respectfully with another substance called hape (non-hallucinogenic, it simply clears out stagnant, dense and anxious energy quickly and is very helpful for meditation, which we will do together after). We will deep dive into learning about four different varieties and will see how each one is a very different medicine from the other.

Your host, Catherine Brown, has lived in and studied with various Amazonian indigenous communities over the past 16 years and has a formation in shamanic healing from The Foundation for Shamanic Studies. She is also a Reiki Master and a professional Akashic Records consultant.
