SAExREV: The Creative Spark: Turning Imagination Into Animation

The Creative Spark: Turning Imagination Into Animation is an inspiring, hands‑on workshop designed to help participants transform raw ideas into living, breathing animated creatures.

Across two immersive sessions, attendees explore creative ideation techniques, develop multiple creature concepts, and refine one into a fully realized character. In the afternoon, they bring a creature to life through animation — beginning with subtle breathing and idle motion, then shaping a short performance moment that expresses personality, emotion, and intent.

By the end of the workshop, each participant has created a creature with an animation of its “first breath,” showcasing how imagination becomes character, and how character becomes story.
