    On Sunday 10th December, the International Day of Human Rights and the closing day of 16 Days of Activism, you can hear from artist Shelley Watters about her sculptural installation Safe Space and the Women's and Girls' Emergency Centre (WAGEC) will offer a free bystander and ally workshop for our community. 

    Your attendance will equip you with a deeper understanding of the root causes of gender-based violence and give you tools to support your community and safely intervene.   

    Safe Space is supported by City of Sydney, 107 Projects, and is proudly supporting WAGEC. 

    What can you expect: 

    • This event has a small capacity (20-30 participants), the event will take place in the main gallery space, where there will be a small number of chairs available. 
    • One accessible parking space is located on Redfern Street outside the main entrance to the building. A permanent access ramp is located to the left of the main entrance, and toilets are located on the ground floor.
    • A photographer will be present at this event, and 107 will be closed to the public. 
    • Be sure to advise the artist (who is Autistic) of your specific access requirements in the checkout pathway.
