Safe Spaces Ballarat - Community Consultation #1
Description
Back in February this year the Minister for Equality, Harriet Shing, announced that Drummond Street Services will lead a partnership with Cafs (Child and Family Services Ballarat) and Wellways to deliver Safe Spaces for young people in Ballarat and Geelong.
We could not be more excited to be involved in this important program!
LGBTIQA+ Safe Spaces will offer mental health and wellbeing services tailored specifically for LGBTIQA+ young people, allowing them to access welcoming and inclusive support when they need it, close to home.
They will also give LGBTIQA+ young people in the region more opportunities to connect with peers and role models, to increase their sense of belonging. For more information about the Safe Spaces project itself, click HERE.
Before we get started, we need your help!
You are cordially invited to a Safe Spaces community discussion where you’ll meet the Safe Spaces Ballarat team, learn more about the program and have the opportunity to provide critical input in relation to what this Space will look like in Ballarat.
