Safer Futures Fund Launch & Inaugural Oration: Centre for Forensic Behavioural Science
Event description
Celebrate the launch of the Safer Futures Fund, an initiative by the Centre for Forensic Behavioural Science (CFBS).
Welcome drinks and canapés will be followed by an oration from Emeritus Professor Clive Ruggles from the School of Archaeology and Ancient History at the University of Leicester.
Together with his wife, Dr. Sue Hills, Clive set up the Alice Ruggles Trust in 2017 in the wake of their daughter Alice's tragic murder at the hands of an ex-boyfriend who had relentlessly stalked her after she ended their brief relationship. Clive now uses his experience and knowledge to help train police, prosecutors and judiciary as well as social and healthcare service, academic colleagues and students. Clive serves as Chair of Trustees of the Alice Ruggles Trust, and continues to play a leading role in its public-awareness-raising and campaigning work to put an end to stalking.
