🔹

Hylander

Sydney-based First Nations artist; Hylander crafts a new wave of Aussie electronica. Applying his unique brand of creativity and sound design to every genre he touches, Hylander provides a healthy and consistent challenge to palatability in pop music. As a proud Gadigal man, he aims to inspire other First Nations creatives to expand what it means to be an Aboriginal artist beyond monolithic conventions and stereotypes.

🔹

Miramar

Living together in a Sydney sharehouse since 2018, roommates Matt, Sam and Rosh decided to form the pop-electronic trio in early 2020 during the first COVID-19 lockdown. Their first release was an entry into Triple J Unearthed’s inaugural ‘Supergroup’ competition titled “By Myself”, which received airplay across Triple J and Unearthed and was featured as a staff favourite entry to the competition. On the back of this, the trio began writing some more tracks and eventually released their first single ‘Smoke Machine’ in early 2021. Since then, the group have played a string of shows and added a second and third single to their catalogue, becoming known for their lush soundscapes, thumping house grooves and catchy pop hooks along the way.

🔹

Reilz X Linea

As well as bringing you SAFEROOM every month, Reilz x Linea collaborate to create spine-shifting beats with soaring vocals and unexpected orchestral moments. Previously known as VIDA, the duo have released music spanning pop, techno, and heartfelt ballads.

SAFEROOM acknowledges the traditional custodians of the land on which we perform, the Gadigal People of the Eora Nation. We pay our respects to elders past, present and emerging and acknowledge that sovereignty was never ceeded.Always was, always will be Aboriginal Land.
