Step back in time at the Saint Bathans Country Fête for a heritage-inspired celebration of community in one of Central Otago’s most historic gold-mining villages. Adults $10 and FREE for children and students under 18 years old.

Perfect for families, history lovers, vintage enthusiasts, and anyone who enjoys a good old-fashioned day out, this fête brings the past to life with a charming mix of:

Heritage vibes, come dressed in your favourite heritage tweed!
Old-fashioned games and entertainment for all ages
Traditional food and homemade treats
Artisan market stalls, local produce, crafts, and more
Live music and community spirit surrounded by stunning heritage buildings

Whether you’re sipping coffee in the shadow of the Vulcan Hotel, wandering past vintage stalls, down to the lake or enjoying a picnic on the green, the Saint Bathans Village Fête is a truly memorable day in a one-of-a-kind setting.

🌿 Zero Waste Event:
This is a leave-no-trace gathering. We ask all visitors to bring your own keep cups, plates, cutlery, and bags. It's fairly remote out here and we don't have a regular rubbish collection. Make sure that what you bring in, you take out. Help us keep Saint Bathans pristine and beautiful.

🚗 Parking & Access
To preserve the unique charm and walkability of the village, Saint Bathans will be closed to traffic for the day. Event parking is available at the Saint Bathans Domain, just a short walk or shuttle ride from the fête. Fill your car with friends and family — the more the merrier, and the greener! NOTE: If you have accessibility issues, please contact us so we can make sure you're looked after.
