Saints for Today: An Evening of Staged Readings
About the event
Saints for Today: An Evening of Staged Readings
Stories of holiness for today's world
Join us for a unique evening of live theatre, reflection, and conversation as The Great Commission Theatre, in collaboration with the Oblate School of Theology Office of Renewal & Outreach (formerly Dept. of Continuing Education), presents Saints for Today—an inspiring collection of original 10-minute staged readings.
Through powerful short plays and monologues, this event explores the timeless human journey of grace, struggle, redemption, doubt, mercy, and transformation. Rooted in the lives and witness of the saints—but deeply connected to the realities of modern life—these stories invite us to consider an enduring question:
What does holiness look like today?
More than a performance, Saints for Today is an encounter. Following the staged readings, audience members will be invited into a guided talkback to reflect on the themes, questions, and emotional truths explored through the stories.
Whether you are a person of faith, a seeker, or simply someone who loves meaningful storytelling, this evening offers a space to pause, reflect, and be moved.
