Event description

This history walking tour by the Coopers Plains and Moorooka History Groups will begin at 10am at Moorooka Playground Park, with a brief overview of human history up to the early 20th Century.  It will then walk a tour of the WWII relics in the light industrial area of Salisbury, north and south of Evans Road. The walk will be approximately 2 klms on flat sealed surfaces.  The walk will end at Reload Cafe, Chrome Street at about 11:30am. Attendees can make their way back to the start or have lunch at the cafe.
The meeting point is 16 minutes walk from Salisbury train station and 4 minutes walk from Beaudesert Road at Muriel - Evans, stop 37, Moorooka, Bus Route 124.  There is adequate street parking near the park. Wear a hat and comfortable walking shoes.
