Salon of Reflections - Poetry and Storytelling

We all carry stories within us.  

What makes us seek out stories? Why do we reach for poetry at times of heartache? What happens when we turn our lived experiences into written and spoken words? For writers, readers and listeners alike, we'll explore the ways poems and stories have shaped us, individually and collectively.

For emerging writers, this is a beautiful opportunity to share new work in a safe, supportive community.

The Salon of Reflections is a public living room for the exchange of ideas. 

The Salon of Reflections combines guided small-group conversations with an immersive installation experience, designed to stimulate learning, exchange and connection. You'll encounter new perspectives, opinions and stances in a relaxing sensory environment. 

What to expect:

• Permission to pause - An inviting space to unplug, unwind and tune into the present moment. 
• Unexpected connections - Guided small group interactions that foster expansive, surprising conversations.
• Audience-led explorations - Audience-led discussions, guided by prompts and provocations to inspire new perspectives.

• Artists, writers and creatives looking for fresh ideas and invigorating conversation.
• Anyone looking for a moment to slow down, connect and learn with a supportive community.

The Salon of Reflections is a safe space for women, gender diverse and LGBTQ+ folk, and people of diverse cultural backgrounds and faith expressions. When entering the space, we ask everyone to practice our values of openness, curiosity, learning and care. 

Cost:
General ticket price is $15. However, to make this event accessible to the community, we have a $0 community ticket available at the checkout.
