Salt Village Community Picnic

For a family-friendly outing, pack your picnic rug, bring the kids and your friends. Settle in for a Sunday afternoon of laidback vibes and community connection on the Salt Central Park lawns in front of Salt Bistro and pay homage to the beautiful parklands and beach. 

Local musicians like Birren Slabb and Jerome Williams will keep the vibes high across the afternoon. Keep the kids entertained with free face painting and activities like giant lawn games and crafts.

A sample of portraits from the major photographic exhibition ‘Entwined’ by acclaimed Australian photographer Rob Palmer will be on display. The exhibition celebrates the faces and stories of the Tweed’s culinary scene and has been a highlight of Savour the Tweed’s program this year.

BYO picnic or purchase takeaway options from the Salt Bar & Grill.

Please note that licensing means the event is alcohol free but pop into the Salt Bar & Grill for a drink anytime.

Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times.

Tickets are free, but you’ll need to register to attend.
