Salt Village Community Picnic
Description
Pack your picnic rug, gather your family and friends, and join us for a relaxed afternoon of live music, local art, delicious food and community connection at beautiful Salt Central Park.
Set against the stunning backdrop of Salt Village's parklands and nearby beach, the Salt Village Community Picnic is a free, family-friendly event celebrating the people, flavours and creativity of the Tweed. Enjoy an afternoon of laidback entertainment featuring live performances from local musicians, free children's activities, interactive games, art experiences and special food offers from Salt Village retailers.
Visitors can also view a selection of portraits from acclaimed Australian photographer Rob Palmer's Entwined exhibition, which celebrates the faces and stories behind the Tweed's vibrant culinary community and has been a standout feature of this year's Savour the Tweed program.
Bring your own picnic or purchase takeaway from participating Salt Village businesses offering exclusive picnic specials on the day. Please note that due to licensing requirements, this is an alcohol-free event, although guests are welcome to visit Salt Bar & Grill for refreshments.
A free water refill station and complimentary sunscreen will be available at the event.
Dogs are welcome but must remain on a lead at all times.
Bring your family, friends, picnic rug and reusable water bottle and enjoy a wonderful afternoon celebrating local food, music, art and community at Salt Village.
