With a music career spanning - well over 3 decades, Steve and Marion have performed on the same bill as legendary acts B.B. King, Tony Joe White, Bob Dylan, Ray Charles, Lil Charlie and The Night Cats, along with other international headliners -

SALTY DOG have clocked up thousands of kilometres around Australia during their Blues journey since the 1990's, performing regular shows every week at numerous venues as well as Blues festivals, overseas tours, scooping up awards from their many CD recordings, including, The "Australian Blues Chain Awards.

Steve Plater -– recognized as one of Australia's finest multi-instrumentalists and renowned for his wickedly deft slide guitar playing with expertise across a range of stringed instruments.

Steve is also founder and director of the successful Great Southern Cigar Box Guitar Festival, which has been held in Ballarat Victoria in recent years and has become a feature on the regional music scene.

Marion Turner – Vocals and harmonica, delivers power – house vocals in addition to being one of the country’s most vibrant harmonica players.“Myself and Marion have teamed up with powerhouse drummer “Dougie” to create a blues so raw it is straight off a Mississippi mud floor”
