When you are dormant in one half of the world, you are vibrant and magnificent in the other..

This Incense plant spirit immersion will be one of deep connectedness. one of gathering together in hands, hearts and plants for Salvia is the one of the story keepers and wise old healers.

Our bodies know this plant well.

Our bones would have heard the Song of the Salvia Spirit across many years.

I warmly invite you to sit with me as we explore the many layers of the wise Sages.

During this immersive experience, we will touch, hold and sit with the aromas of the Salvia varieties I have growing in my garden.

If you have attended my herbal incense crafting workshops in the past, then this may be of interest to you.

Although, no prior experience is necessary as these gatherings will be light, creative and fun!

The aim of this workshop is to explore the natural art of incense crafting using pure plant botanicals, travelling with the Salvia genus.

You will have the opportunity to craft your own incense to then take home with you for personal use and connection.

Often commercial incense is loaded with synthetics chemicals and fragrances which may be harmful to our health and moves away from any form of plant spirit connection.

Through an animistic approach, that being that everything in the natural world is alive and holds a Spirit, we will work with Salvia varieties, resins, barks, spices and flowers to strengthen the thread of connection to the natural world.

The Flowering Smoke Series of workshops explores ways to deepen your relationship to the plant realm as you navigate through the landscapes of Mother Nature and how using herbs as smoke medicine, can guide you to deepening your intuition supporting the emotional and spiritual aspects of self.

Incense is a very old tradition and one of the first forms of aromatherapy. Each one of us has an innate connection to the natural world, and our bodies have a wisdom that runs in deep alignment with this thread of connection to nature.

The aim of this workshop is to explore this connection and to begin the journey on the path of plants.

You will have the option to add in to your blends:

* herbal tea

* floral waters

* flower essences

In this 4 hour work shop we will:

* Sit in sacred circle with an opening and acknowledgement to the four directions

* Briefly touch on incense uses and cultural connections

* Why using chemical free and natural incense is important

* Explore incense types

* Touch on incense ingredients and basic incense formulas

* Go on a medicine drum journey to meet with energetics of your aromatic medicine

* Learn how to craft cones or stems

* Come together at the end of the workshop to bless our incense

* Close circle

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BRING ON THE DAY:

* A comfortable cushion

* A blanket for yourself

* An offering from nature ( a flower, seed pod, leaves, feather etc )

* A large container to take your wet incense home in

* A note book & pen

* A bottle of water for yourself

* comfortable clothes which make you feel fabulous!

* An open heart

I am very much a student on this path, and recognise that I have much to learn.

However, hearing the call of the plants and interest in natural incense, it’s time for me to step into bravery and create these circles of aromatic wonder!

* PLEASE NO PERFUME! This is an intimate circle and much of the workshop engages our sense of smell. Most perfumes are toxic and may irritate the senses ( mine included!)
