    Event description

Led by ceramicist Monique Elliot, attendees will use clay to combine fruits, vegetables and animals together to create their own wacky hybrid creature!

    Where: Level 2, SAM

    Who: 10 - 17 year olds.

Ceramics undertake a complex drying and firing process, so you will not be able to take your creations home with you on the day. Please expect a 4 - 6 week turnaround.

Please note that all children aged under 12 years must be supervised by an adult during their attendance.

Our programs are designed with specific age groups in mind and use materials, methods or techniques suitable for those specific age groups. It’s important that SAM is able to offer programs that create an accessible environment for learning and provide the same amount of support and assistance to all children in the program. If your child is older or younger than the indicated age group and attends a program, they may either find it too difficult or too easy and their experience will be negatively impacted. This also extends to things like tools and equipment being used, such as etching tools and other sharp objects.
