Learn to dance Samba Malandro style with Michel Rhuim.
Open to dancers of all levels and genders, bring comfortable clothes and flat shoes.
This is the first time Michel has visited Sydney, so don't miss this opportunity to learn from one of Rio's greats.
Hailing from Rio de Janiero, Michel Rhuim has a background in samba no pé masculine, samba de gafiera and dança de salão. He was a passista of Mocidade and Unidos de Padre Miguel from 2016 to 2019, Portela from 2020 to 2022 and currently with Vila Isabel. He was awarded Best Male Passista Revelação in the 2020 Rio Carnaval and was Guardião de Mestre Sala and Porta Bandeira in the same year.
In 2018 Michel was part of the Brasil Samba Congress in Grupo da Emanuel Lima. He also performs as a malandro dancer for various Rio shows, including Grupo do Samba RJ.
