Samchykivka Art (Ukrainian Folk Art)

Learn the art of Samchykivka - a style of Ukrainian Folk Art - with artist Anna Mykhalchuk. Using natural elements (leaves, flowers, berries) as inspiration, workshop participants will learn about composition and colour palette, and create their own art book with Samchykivka Art using acrylic paint.

Anna Mykhalchuk is a Ukrainian artist living in Hobart since 2022. She is working in a decorative folk-art style called Samchykivka. Her work explores themes of diversity of nature, connections with people, and the ability to see and feel more.
