♻️ Samford Circular Collage: Exploring the Loop
Description
Join us for a hands-on Circular Economy Collage Workshop
in the heart of Samford! 🌱
This event aims to help Samford businesses discover practical ways to reduce waste, lower costs, and create value by applying circular economy principles in their operations.
Through the Circular Economy Collage, local business owners and local customers will explore how resources can be reused, repaired, shared, and regenerated, while connecting with other businesses interested in building a more resilient and sustainable local economy. Existing good practice by Samford businesses and community enterprises will be acknowledged and shared.
By working together, Samford businesses and community organisations can become leaders in circular practices, strengthening the local community, protecting the natural environment that makes Samford unique, and creating new opportunities for innovation and collaboration.
Come learn, create, and be part of Samford’s journey toward a circular, regenerative future!
🥗 — A light dinner, prepared by Village Kitchen will be provided.
This event is proudly supported by the City of Moreton Bay, and is perfect for anyone curious about sustainability and circular economy.
What is a Circular Economy Collage?
A Circular Economy Collage is a hands-on, visual workshop where participants piece together the different parts of a circular economy — from designing out waste and keeping materials in use, to regenerating natural systems. Using images, words, and creative materials, you’ll map out how products and resources flow through systems, uncover opportunities to close loops, and imagine practical actions for your community. It’s interactive, fun, and designed for all ages and backgrounds.
Why this matters for Samford
Samford has an existing Samford Sustainable Business Network and is a thriving, nature-connected community, and we all play a part in shaping its environmental future. By understanding the principles of a circular economy, we can reduce waste, support local businesses, and protect our natural surroundings. This workshop gives residents and organisations the tools and inspiration to make sustainable choices that benefit people, nature, and the local economy, helping Samford become a model for regenerative living.
