Samford Edible Garden Trail – AUGUST 2022
Event description
Samford Valley is opening the gates to a selection of our most inspiring private edible gardens plus this year we are featuring even more gardens from our local producers.
This is a weekend that will bring you inspiration to grow your own food, learn from passionate gardeners and connect with people.
Due to rain, the event (originally planned for mid May) was postponed and is rescheduled for Saturday 6th August & Sunday 7th August 2022!
OPEN GARDENS
The Samford Edible Garden Trail is returning for 2022. Some of the gardens from 2021 are opening again, plus we have a selection of new and inspiring edible gardens that will be open for viewing.
You will have the opportunity to wander through the gardens at your own self pace, as well as join in on garden tours run by the garden hosts themselves.
Expect anywhere between 10-15 gardens this year! Many will be open on both days, but some will be open either Saturday or Sunday.
This is a self paced Trail — you get to decide which garden, and which order. We will send you the Trail Guide with the addresses of the gardens in the week before the Trail starts. This is to protect the privacy of the garden hosts.

CAFE'S AND RESTAURANTS
Think devonshire teas, picnic hampers, coffee carts as well as dine in and takeaway experiences all showcasing our locally grown produce.
STAYING OVERNIGHT
For those of you making a weekend of it — fantastic! There is a wonderful range of local accommodation here ranging from Bell Tents to B&B's. We have a list of local accommodation on our website - samfordediblegardentrail.com.au

TICKET DETAILS
Last year, tickets sold out in the last week, so we suggest booking early so you don't miss out in this year.

Adults weekend pass (both days) = $15
Adults single day pass (Saturday only) = $10
Adults single day pass (Sunday only) = $10
Children 16 years and under = free

Every visitor MUST have a ticket (even the children with free tickets)
so we can comply with COVID Safe requirements.
PLEASE NOTE: We are unfortunately not able to refund tickets due to limited volunteer capacity to manage the administration that is required.
If you cannot attend, you are most welcome to pass the ticket on to a family member or friend.
Important information
- Ticket holders will receive the Edible Garden Trail Guide in the week before the event containing Samford Edible Garden Trail Map and addresses for your visit.
- Please note that while we love our furry friends, dogs are not permitted at any of the gardens.
- Please wear sturdy footwear, sunscreen and a hat.
- Samford Village is wheelchair friendly. More information on accessibility for each garden will be provided in the Trail Guide.
- Accessibility to each garden varies — expect uneven ground, different surfaces, and sloping areas.
- The Samford Edible Garden Trail is operating under a Queensland Government Covid Safe Event Checklist. In purchasing a ticket, you agree to comply with the requirements of this checklist as directed by our volunteers, including practising good hygiene, social distancing, and regular hand sanitising.
The Samford Edible Garden Trail is a community, not for profit initiative, supported by the Samford and Districts Progress and Protection Association. Any profits from this event will be used to support the establishment of a new Community Garden in Samford Village - Details coming soon!
