Jim Southee Community Centre

Ritual: 3pm (please arrive on time)
Feast: 6pm onwards
We should be wrapped up by 9pm

What to Bring:

• A photo or personal item for the ancestor altar – a meaningful item to honour your loved ones and those you've lost. This is a chance to connect with your ancestors and the spirit of remembrance.

• A dish to share for the community feast – this could be anything you feel comfortable bringing, but feel free to bring whatever you like to share with the group. Please label your dish with ingredients for allergy management. If you have dietary requirements, please cater to your own needs.

• Your own plate, bowl, cutlery, and cup – if possible, please bring your own reusable items to reduce waste and help us create a more sustainable event. We will also have extras if you forget. There is also a supermarket next door to the venue if you need to grab something quick to bring with you.

What to Wear:

Please wear comfortable clothes that you can move easily in. If you wish to dress up for the ritual, feel free to do so. This is a time for personal expression and honouring the season, so wear what makes you feel connected to the moment.
